Last night in Detroit it was the River Days Festival....which is known to us natives simply as "da fiya-werks" .....the thing is alot of people dont really go anymore due to a fear of violence and i understand em no one wants to be a innocent bystander during a Cartier snatching gone wrong...so me myself i was actually waiting to cut on the news to see all the drama that usually ensues every year...and to my surprise nothing really happened....and that might be because of all the police presence...i went to a party in corktown last night and was stuck in traffic so long that by the time we got there the shit was not popping...word to Count Macula...but now im disapointed in myself because its like we are just counting on something bad to happen ....which sucks ....i think thats the mentality we are brainwashed with in the D.....so i hope everyone who attended had a great time and come out to the same next year...thats a day for the kids and thats what it should be about....but in Detroit i think its pretty much like 1 bad apple spoils the bunch....or maybe 1000....but u get my what im trying to say(type)...i mean we got this reputation that makes people so terrified of this city ....when u can really enjoy yourself here....i mean it beautiful to me (in a aftermath of a war kind of way)....i mean the horror of the scenary in the D is actually breathtaking in its own chaotic masterpiece...i walk around feeling like im in a Basquiat/Warhol collaboration....just look around threw all the abondoned burnt up buildings its art.....and one thing i can say is i love my city...and might even try to go the "FiyahWerks" next year

So word .....right now i have a problem with R&B music its prolly the same problem muthafuckas have with hip hop....but to me R&B is really lacking in the creavtive department and all the songs tend to sound the same(yea its just like rap)but anyway one song in particular which i actually think is a dope song and thats "Birthday Sex"
by Jeremiah now the song reminds me of some ol school Guy-Aaron Hall type shit with weaker vocals....no diss just Aaron Hall use to damn near tear his adam apple when he got excited listen to end of "Dreaming" if u think im lying....but actually the problem i have with this song is not the song or the artist....just the immaturity of program directors at radio stations for not censoring the song...because to me they are putting something childrens heads thats not so cool....i have a daughter never heard her sing the song but im pretty sure she does/have due to the fact that
thats her moms preference of music...now on a childs birthday they expect gifts maybe a party, a cake,....now they're gonna be expecting sex,..lol...word...cause now that thoughts in they head like "the grown-ups have sex on they birthday"...so thats what im gonna do ....trust me this song wont erase from they're memory when they are 16....they gonna remember when i was in the 4th grade it was this song called birthday sex and they will act on it....i mean imma keep it real its not like these kids are not gonna do it anyway but i think that song is very encouraging...
